Although the final performance of Private Peaceful was last Friday, after four shows, there is only one word to describe the whole production, performance and staging - Wonderful.  The performance even brought tears to people’s eyes due to the powerful nature of the story and the way it was performed.

FOOD BANK

The Student Leadership Team is running a collection for Kerith Foodbank all next week.

As a team, they are conscious of the impact that the cost of living crisis has on family budgets in the local community and strongly believe that nobody should go hungry this winter.

The Senior Students will be collecting food between Monday 5th and Friday 9th December. They will be setting up collection boxes each morning from 8.00 am - 8.30 am under the canopy outside The Dining Hall and there will also be a collection station for the Sixth Form in the Common Room before registration each morning.

The collection tubs will be coloured coordinated to correspond to the House colours and students should place donations in their House tub. Each item donated will earn a point for your House so make sure you pick the right tub!  The winning House will be announced at the end of the week.

See full list of suggested donations here.

WISH LISTS

Last week we launched our Wish Lists and we have been humbled by the response.

Each department has put together a range of items that will help to enhance the curriculum and bring the syllabus alive for their students.

We appreciate that the cost of living is rising for everyone and more than ever we are grateful for every 'Wish' that you grant.

A complete list of ‘Wishes’ can be viewed here. Thank you and merry Christmas.

FUTURE FIRST

This year, Charters School is working with the charity Future First to help us connect with former students, local businesses, parents/carers and the wider school community to inspire our current students. It can be daunting for students to imagine their future career path, but by sharing your experiences since leaving full time education, you could help to motivate and inspire them to feel more confident in making decisions about their future.

We recently contacted our wider community to introduce this initiative and people have connected with us from an array of business backgrounds' we've even registered a doctor who is currently working in Australia!

We would love to hear more career journeys. Whether you attended university, undertook an apprenticeship or had a variety of jobs before finding your ideal career, each individual has a story to tell so please join our Future First network by using the button below:
