Our Sixth Form team works with each student to ensure they are able to make the best decisions after leaving our care.
We encourage all students to complete an application for Further Education through UCAS so that they have a choice even if they are also considering employment on leaving the Sixth Form. We also work closely with Learning to Work, our Education and Careers support to put students in touch with local opportunities and encourage some part-time work as experience for the future.
The Potential High Achievers programme at Charters is an initiative designed to cater for the increasing numbers of very high achieving students who need to be stretched further in order to have access to Oxford or Cambridge or other top universities, or who are aiming for medicine, dentistry or veterinary courses. Reading lists to stretch students within subject areas can be found here.
We run information evenings for parents/carers, whole days of support for the students and we are available on email to offer advice for the future too.
