NEWSLETTER - 24 JULY
Today marks the end of what has felt like a very long school year for us!
Even up to the last few days, there has been a lot going on with trips out to Belgium, our local Gurdwara and the Gold DofE assessment weekend in Snowdonia. I would like to thank all the staff who have given up their time to take the 79 trips and 14 residentials that have taken place this year, without them we would not be able to offer such a wide range of activities.
I would also like to thank all those in our community who have supported us this year with some exciting development projects and also in ensuring that our students are well supported in all that they do. Without your help in reinforcing our values in School of Unity Respect Excellence a lot would not be possible. Also thank you to all of you who take the time to thank staff via email, in person or with notes, it does make a difference to us as a staff.
I am looking forward to seeing our students back in September, in the meantime we have two important dates in GCSE and A Level results today to look forward to. I hope the sun shines for you where you may take a break.
This final week, the focus has been on Community and Summer safety. We hope that students have benefitted from taking a look at the various character traits and focus areas over this past academic year.

FUNDRAISING ROUND-UP
We want to thank our Charters community for the support they have given our school during this academic year.
We are incredibly grateful for way that parents and carers have generously donated funds to our various campaigns, despite the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, and the round-up below shows how your donations will be spent.
GOTHIA YOUTH FOOTBALL CUP
Arlo in Year 7 is a goalkeeper and took part in the Gothia Youth Football Cup Competition in Sweden last week. His team were fantastic and won all their group stages with Arlo not conceding any goals! The team got through to the cup knockout stage but unfortunately were knocked out by France! There were 128 teams that competed in the under 12s category with only 32 of these making the knockout stage so a fantastic achievement for Arlo and his team!
Arlo did however come home with a trophy for Coaches Player of the Tournament so he was very pleased!
PLEASE START THE NEW ACADEMIC YEAR OFF TO A GOOD START BY BRINGING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WITH YOU.
HOPE CHURCH FOOD SHARE
The Hope Church food share takes place each Tuesday from 12pm-1pm.
The items include mainly fresh food and bakery items donated from local supermarkets. The food is at the end of its shelf life (but still perfectly fine to eat!) and would otherwise just go to waste. Bring a bag to fill up, stop for a chat and a cup of tea (and cake!!) and warm up in the church. ALL welcome, no voucher/referral required.
Hope Church, Sunningdale, The Hope Centre, High Street Sunningdale, (next to Nag’s Head).
