A group of ten eager Year 9 students were recently invited to join an exciting event at Wellington College: Humanities Day. This special opportunity allowed our students to immerse themselves in a variety of engaging sessions led by expert staff from the prestigious college.

Throughout the day, our students explored fascinating topics across several Humanities subjects. They delved into history with a session on Licoricia of Winchester, learning about the life of this remarkable medieval figure. In Psychology, they discovered the intriguing ways in which memory works, while in English, they had the chance to engage with unseen poetry, expanding their literary horizons. The students also took part in an interactive Trade Game in Geography, gaining a deeper understanding of global economics and trade dynamics.

The enthusiasm and curiosity displayed by all ten students were truly commendable. Not only did they fully participate in each session, but they also represented Charters School with pride, showing great enthusiasm for every activity.

The day was made even more enjoyable with a delicious lunch provided by Wellington College, giving students a chance to relax and discuss the new concepts they had learned. It was a fantastic experience that allowed our students to enrich their knowledge, engage with new ideas, and build connections with peers from other schools.

We’re incredibly proud of our Year 9 students for their excellent representation of Charters School at this enriching event!
