Religious Spring Festivals Assemblies

As is customary at this time of the year, the focus of the assemblies this week has been on Religious Spring Festivals. In the spirit of inclusivity, this year students got a chance to learn about a lesser-known faith, the Bahai Faith, and their spring festival which is Naw Ruz. Naw Ruz is celebrated annually on the day of the Spring Equinox and marks the beginning of the New Year for Bahais and Iranians across the world.
The assemblies are being delivered by members of Bahai Faith Community from Maidenhead. Michael Gammage is leading the assemblies along with one of our Sixth Form students, Diba, who is also one of our Year 13 Senior Leaders. This week, with great pride and eloquence, Diba shared aspects of her faith with her fellow students.
Both students and staff welcomed the opportunity to enhance their spiritual and cultural development through the lens of the Bahai Faith.
Our thanks to Michael and Diba for delivering such informative assemblies and to Mrs Grant-Miller for inviting our guests to speak to our students.
