Year 9 Geography Extreme Weather Investigation

Last half term, our Year 9 Geography students were investigating the enquiry question ‘Why is there an increased risk of weather hazards in the 21st century?’

As part of the topic, they had the opportunity to showcase their creativity by designing either a poster or a model representing a recent weather event.  We were blown away by the enthusiasm shown by the students!   The submissions were outstanding, demonstrating both a deep understanding of the subject and an impressive level of effort. 

Mr Cook and Mrs Creasey had the challenging task of judging all the entries, which was no easy task.

After much deliberation, we are delighted to congratulate Aidan I for winning Best Model and Neve B for winning Best Poster.  

With so many fantastic entries, it really was a difficult job to choose but Aidan's clever and creative design won through.  However, a huge thank you to all those who took the time to enter but a mention must go to Hadi for the impressive model he created.

Well done Year 9 you showed the commitment and flair that makes our students so outstanding.
