Community Performance of H.S.M.

Students at Charters School embodied the school values of Unity, Respect, and Excellence this week as they took part in a vibrant Community Performance of High School Musical.
From the talented actors on stage to the dedicated backstage crew, lighting technicians, and sound desk operators, students from across the school came together to bring the sights and sounds of East High to life. They performed for an audience of local primary school children, inspiring the next generation through music, theatre, and teamwork.
The Community Performance was made possible thanks to a generous grant from The Prince Philip Trust Fund. This funding allowed Charters to cover the costs of lesson cover and to hire professional musicians, who played alongside the student performers in a live band, enriching the experience with their expertise.
By participating in this production, students not only showcased their talent but also demonstrated their commitment to their studies, taking responsibility for catching up on any missed work in their own time.
It is hoped that this initiative will inspire a lifelong appreciation for creative expression amongst both the performers and their young audience members. The event also served to strengthen the connection between Charters School and its local primary schools, fostering a sense of community through a shared cultural experience.
Well done to all involved for making this event such a resounding success!
Opening night of the production takes place on Wednesday 5th February and tickets are still available for some of the performances:
