Music Assemblies
This week students throughout the school were treated to a series of extra-special assemblies, as talented Charters' musicians entertained their peers with arrangements crossing a range of genres.
The assemblies featured the Function Band, Jazz Band and Barbershop Group which are all made up of students from different year groups. There was also a performance by a soloist in each assembly, and these changed daily. Luca played a hauntingly beautiful piano piece which mesmerised the Year 8 audience.
Learning a musical instrument requires motivation to keep practising, resilience to perfect new pieces & confidence to perform in front of large crowds.
It takes time to become as accomplished as Luca, but mastering an instrument is AMAZING.
At Charters School, we believe in giving high quality musical opportunities to all of our students, knowing that they can gain real pleasure and satisfaction from joining others to play and sing.
