Our Year 10 students have been taking part in the Ascot Racecourse Community Challenge initiative to raise funds for their chosen charity Daisy's Dream.   Students formed a Fundraising Committee and held a number of events to raise as much money as possible before the 2 December deadline.   The competition run by Ascot Racecourse, evaluates and judges the teams taking part based on certain criteria including the amount of money raised, how students engage with their charity and whether their fundraising could leave a legacy and lead to future collaboration.  The quality of how the fundraising was planned was also considered, but most importantly was how well the group worked as a team.

One of the most successful fundraising events took place just before the half term break, when students hosted a spooktacular pumpkin carving workshop.  Students had a fantastic time creating sculptured masterpieces just in time for Halloween.

To this point the Fundraising Committee have raised an impressive £1144.01 but they want to achieve more, so their next event is linked to our upcoming production of High School Musical.
