Mock Interviews

Students in Year 11 have been taking part in mock interviews all this week, thanks to the help and support of individuals and local businesses.

The interviews are part of a larger programme which helps prepare our students for the world of work, and requires them to produce a CV and a letter of application for a job vacancy. The process teaches the students basic interview techniques such as conduct, dress code and how to respond to questions.

A practical rehearsal of an interview is an invaluable experience to prepare the students for the future and we are very grateful to those to gave up their time to act as interviewers.

Savills estate agents was keen to take part in the programme and sent three members of staff. Lauren Fell, Head of Lettings at the Sunningdale branch said, "My colleagues and I have thoroughly enjoyed being involved with the Year 11 mock interviews. It has been great to interact with the students and contribute to strengthening their interviewing and communication skills as they prepare for the world of work, we very much look forward to returning next year."

Don't forget that Savills are currently supporting our school this year by making a donation to Charters each time a parent/carer, Trustee or member of staff sells or lets their property through them - £1,000 for every sale and £500 for each letting!
This new initiative is a fantastic way to raise funds for our school and we hope that many families will consider Savills if they are looking for a local estate agent. Please email lauren.fell@savills.com for more information, remembering to include Charters School Referral in the subject line.
