Amazing Sixth Form Mathematicians!

It is with great pleasure to announce more than 57 A Level Mathematicians successfully participated in this year's UK Mathematics Trust Senior Mathematics Challenge 2024. 

The SMC is a 90-minute multiple choice paper consisting of questions that encourage mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve stimulating problems.

The top-scoring 66% of participants throughout the UK are awarded Bronze, Silver and Gold certificates in the ratio of 3:2:1 and this year certificates will be awarded to all our amazing participants including 29 Bronze, 7 Silver and 4 Gold. 

"Best in Year" went to Anas (Y12) and "Best in School" to Elizabeth (Y13).  All students who were awarded Gold (including, Elizabeth, Sam, Anas and Solomon) are amongst a select number of UK students who have been invited to participate the follow-up round, the Andrew Jobbings Senior Kangaroo, which takes place on Wednesday 20 November.

These are fantastic results which show the great strength of our A Level Mathematicians. We would like to congratulate all who participated and wish our Senior Kangaroo participants the very best of luck next week!
