International Day of Languages
Year 10 MFL students delivered assemblies to help promote the importance of learning a language this week as part of our European Day of Languages celebrations.
The Language Leaders linked the school's Character Pillars, which underpin our values of Unity, Respect and Excellence, with learning languages.
They also highlighted the advantages of having a language qualification in the workplace. Did you know that a whopping 70% of employers say that they value language skills in their employees? And that people who speak an additional language can earn up to £6,000 more than their colleagues to don't?
The assemblies were incredibly informative and bridged the MFL curriculum and Careers.
Mrs Dabbaj would like to thank the Language Leaders for presenting the assemblies and thought that they did an amazing job. She was impressed with both their organisation and enthusiasm!
