Calling all Year 11 Students!
Join us to discover what makes our Sixth Form such a fantastic place to study at our Open Evening for prospective students.
On Thursday 17 October between 5pm and 8pm you can view our subject specific classrooms, discover more about the subjects we offer at A Level and chat with staff and current students about what it’s like to be part of our thriving sixth form.
Our Sixth Form was rated Outstanding during the 2023 Ofsted inspection, and it has a track record for academic excellence. This summer alone, six Year 13 students successfully applied to continue their studies at Oxbridge colleges: two at Cambridge and four at Oxford.
But it’s not just the academic side of things that marks Charters Sixth Form as a great place to study – it also has an exciting Enrichment programme which sits within our curriculum for all students to access and enjoy.
Underscored by the belief that to be academically successful you need to have a broad and well-rounded experience that goes beyond just studying, students are encouraged to participate in one of the many timetabled activities which help develop a sense of self. Whether it’s to learn new skills, challenge themselves to step out of their comfort zone, or learn to harness the power of mindfulness and relax, it all helps support a healthy work-life balance. Students are actively encouraged to take the lead, and we are delighted to be able to support the development of activities that the students organise and run. Allowing them autonomy to decide what suits their needs ensures they all enjoy, and benefit from, a diverse programme.
There really is something for everyone!
Our Headteacher and Head of Sixth Form's address will take place in the Main Hall at 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Thursday 17 October and you can reserve your seats by using the link below:
