Sports Day 2024!

It's the event of the school year that gets hearts pumping and students cheering.  Of course it is Sports Day with all its colour and noise.  We had three sessions taking place for those students in:

• The Learning Support Centre
• Year 12
• Years 7 to 10

The day was fantastic, albeit very breezy for those on the field, with many students participating in events and an array of sporting talent on show.  

Our students from the Learning Support Centre, had a fun-filled time in the Sports Hall where there was a real party atmosphere!

Some students who may not normally feel at home in the sporting arena, stepped out of their comfort zones to take part in races and events to win those all important House points.

There were some brilliant performances on both track and field, so a huge 'well done!' to everyone who took part to make it so entertaining.  Thank you to all the teaching and support staff who worked so hard to make the day a success, and to Mr Hartwell for capturing some action shots...you'll know which ones they are!

A well-earned thank you to all the Year 12 students that helped out, directing competitors, organising music or doing the all important measuring and timing. 

Last but not least a really big thanks to Mr Wales and all the PE staff for running the show, without them it would not have been possible.
