Student Coaching Session with Arsenal
Several lucky Year 11 students had an exciting visit to the Arsenal F.C training ground and Isaac wrote an account of their time there.
For the last two Thursdays, the Year 11 Boys Football team were invited to Arsenal’s training ground for some training sessions. We were coached by some brilliant coaches who were using the sessions to work towards their next coaching badges. The training sessions were in their Dome and lasted for two hours each, their facilities were amazing! The sessions mirrored the way Arsenal play and the intensity was high.
First team players David Raya and Karl Hein were two of the players who were coaching us, which was really cool! We all learnt a lot from them, plus they told us what it was like to be in a professional football environment. We all worked really hard, and the coaches said they were impressed with our ability and efforts.
At the end of the session, we all got a photo and a signed team photo, which was great! Overall, it was such an amazing experience that we all enjoyed very much, we were very lucky to be invited and we all really appreciated the opportunity to go.
