Year 11 Strategies for Success Day

The Strategies for Success Day was a huge success and we would like to thank The Sunninghill Trust for once again sponsoring this event.

Our Year 11 students took part in a series of motivational workshops which are specifically designed for those taking GCSEs. Delivered by Year 11 Tutors and outside speakers from Learning Performance, the students learnt techniques and skills that can be used as they approach this potentially stressful time. 

We know that the day has a profound impact on the students and after last year’s workshop, the cohort achieved 1/3 of a grade higher on average than what was predicted. 

Will Dalton, who is a trustee of The Sunninghill Trust, visited Charters School this morning to see first-hand how the Strategies for Success Day is structured and how the students were interacting during the workshops. He also recorded a message to the Year 11 students explaining that the trust had sponsored the workshops as part of their wider remit to support people living in the local area and wished them well for their examinations.
