Annual Presentation Evening

5th Jan 2024

It was wonderful to see so many of our former students at our annual Presentation Evening, which this year celebrated the achievements of both A Level and GCSE students.

Our guest speakers were former students Peter Flower, who is currently studying Film Production and Television Production at the University of York, and Aaron Weston, who is studying a three year degree apprenticeship in Broadcast Engineering with the BBC. They spoke about 'life after Charters' and encouraged our students to make the most of every opportunity.

It was a real pleasure to recognise the successes our students and to celebrate individual achievement through our subject prizes and cups.

As ever, it was really difficult to decide who should receive the Peyton Cup as so many of our students demonstrated the values of our school but the worthy winner this year was Alanna.

We would like to thank The Rotary Club for their awards and K J Smith Solicitors for sponsoring the event.

Mrs Hill said, "On a personal note, as Head of Sixth Form I have watched, guided, and yes sometimes nagged, these young people to help them grow and develop and it is moments like this that remind me just how amazing my job is. Speaking to our Year 13 leavers and hearing all about their latest adventures in the world of work, apprenticeships and university was a joyful experience."
