Japanese Festival
Report written by Year 7 student, Hristiana
Last weekend the Japan Club went to Trafalgar Square to experience a Japanese festival called Japan Matsuri to further deepen our knowledge and understanding of this amazing culture.
We all got into groups and started exploring. My group and I began with looking around the stalls and deciding what to eat. We picked sushi to eat – it was amazing. After our lunch we moved on to the next adventure: shopping. Our group came across this small corner shop, full of Pocky (in almost all flavours), Ramone ( a delicious drink with a fun way to open it) and Matcha Mochi (this fluffy ball with amazing gooey goodness).
The Years 9,10 and 11 had stalls to run, an hour each in shifts. They were helping out on the Central Japan Railway stand. The students explained to all curious customers about the model train sets on display.
In summary, we all had an amazing day of culture learning, friendly, bouncing and brilliant experiences.
