Library Induction Lesson
We are keen to foster a love of reading across every year group at Charters, and this week our Librarian, Mrs Olding, continued her Library induction programme with the Year 7 students.
After telling the students the hours that The Library is open, how they can borrow books and when they need to be returned, Mrs Olding explained how just 20 minutes of reading a day can expand their choices in later life.
Did you know that reading can:
- Supercharge learning
- Improve vocabulary and verbal skills
- Sharpen memory
- Develop creativity
- Take you on a journey
The Library is available for students to visit:
- From 8.15 am before school daily
- Between 1.30 pm-2.00 pm daily subject to availability and capacity guidelines
- Until 4.15 pm after school Monday-Thursday
There are thousands of books in our library, so please encourage your child to use this welcoming and inspiring part of our school.
