Inspiring The Next Generation
Outstanding teachers can inspire & encourage the next generation to achieve their best.
Listen to Mrs Hartwell's BBC Radio4 interview where she talks with alumni & paralympic gold medallist Sophie Christiansen about fostering her love of sport at Charters.
Sophie has represented Great Britain at four successive Paralympic Games, and is an eight-time gold medallist, competing in the Athens Paralympics aged 16 while she was still a student at Charters Sixth Form.
Sophie is an inspiration to current students and our school continues to encourage every student to achieve their very best and be proud of who they are. After winning gold at the London 2012 Olympics, the postbox outside Farrow and Ball in Sunningdale was painted gold in her honour, and is a wonderful nod to her achievements.
