GCSE Results Day 2023

Year 11 students received their results today and there were many happy faces enjoying a complimentary ice cream after opening their envelopes. We would like to congratulate all our students who have worked so hard in difficult circumstances to achieve their grades, and have successfully navigated the changing educational landscape since the pandemic.
Our Year 11 students achieved another excellent set of GCSE results this year with 267 students completing their exams.

Overall 31.1% (83) of students achieved 5 or more 9 – 7 grades

The students who sat their GCSE exams this year have done incredibly well - it shows that focus, hard work, and belief secures positive outcomes. 83% of the cohort achieved at least 5 passes including English and Maths at grade 4, with 65% achieving this milestone at grade 5 and above. 90% of the students passed their Maths and an English GCSE at grade 4 and above.
Headteacher Mr Fletcher said, "There are many individual successes that have led to the overall outcome for the school, the important aspect of the individual performances is the gateway to the next stage of their education which for the majority will be with us here at Charters Sixth Form. We congratulate each and every one of our students for working so hard to achieve the grades they have today, and their families and staff who have supported them through the exam season and before.
For those who are leaving, we wish you all the very best in the next stage of your exciting educational journey whatever that may be.”
For the majority of students who will be joining our Sixth Form in September, we can't wait to help you begin to "write your own future'' with us over the next two academic years.
