UK Biology Challenge
Well done to all our Year 9 and Year 10 Triple Biology students who have taken part in the UK Biology Challenge this week. The competition aims to stimulate students' curiosity for the natural world by quizzing them on a range of topics from biochemistry, cells, organisms and ecosystems. Questions are mostly based around the school curriculum, but some of the questions look to discover students' wider love of the subject developed outside of the classroom.
Students have completed two online quizzes alongside thousands of other students from across the UK so the competition is tough - last year over 500 schools and 41,000 students took part!
Henry, who took part, said "I really enjoyed the challenge as it covered some topics we had done a while ago and it was good to refresh on them - I found some questions quite challenging yet very fun. I really enjoy biology as it has some incredibly engaging lessons and practicals!".
We look forward to sharing some of our students' successes in June when the results are published.
