Goodbye to Year 13
Last Friday, our Year 13 students celebrated their time at Charters by spending an evening with their cohort at the Leavers' May Ball which was held at the Berystede Hotel.
It was a fantastic evening with many staff also attending to say farewell to the group. The students behaved superbly and were an absolute credit to themselves and their families.
There was a formal meal, drinks reception and of course some amazing dancing until midnight. The fact that the most dramatic event of the night was a lost pair of heels (which were then subsequently found) is testament to the maturity and kindness show by everyone in attendance.
This morning we said goodbye to our Year 13 students who had dressed in their old school uniform for the occasion. They spent time with their tutors, posed for many photographs and devoured breakfast before congregating in the Main Hall for one final assembly. They were reminded of all the wonderful things they have done during their time at Charters and were wished well on the next stage of their journey by Mr Fletcher, Mr Metson and Mrs Hill.
Mrs Hill offered this advice “Live your best life and if you are kind, caring and show a bit of steely determination then you will be happy and successful.”
We wish them well in their upcoming examinations and look forward to further celebrations of their success on results day.
