Trip to Royal Holloway University, University of London
As many of our current Year 12 students will be applying for university courses during the autumn term, Mrs Singh - Head of Year 12 - arranged for some of them to visit Royal Holloway, University of London this week.
Visiting different campuses allows prospective students to gain an insight into life at each university and discover not only the ins and outs of the course content and teaching methods, but also what the accommodation is like and hear from current students about the clubs and societies of offer for an undergraduate to join.

'I learnt a lot from visiting Royal Holloway. I learnt the difference between different types of campuses, types of university and the different pathways I can take. I also liked how I got to ask questions to actual students there about student accommodation, repaying student loans and the extra activities I can do within the university campus. In the tour we got to see the beautiful campus with their historic Founders' Campus flourishing with the new modern campus. They also helped giving us a deep insight into UCAS applications and showing us the whole process, so we could understand it more.'

'We had a great day at Royal Holloway, as all of us got to know the feel of university life, and we were able to get the answers to any questions that we previously had. We had a Q&A with the Student Ambassadors about things like student finance, the different types of universities, the student accommodations, and the different subjects that Royal Holloway offers. We also learnt about how the university was used in many different movies and TV shows such as You, and Avengers Age of Ultron, which was cool to see. We also got to learn about the university's history, which was really interesting.'
