National SportsHall Finals

In February, Team Berkshire was one of nine South East Counties to compete in the Regional Sports Hall Athletics Competition held in East Sussex. Bethany in Year 7 and Annabelle in Year 8 were part of the Berkshire U13 Girls team who achieved first place, and advanced to the National Sports Hall Finals on the 1 April in Stoke.

The Final saw nine teams from all over England and Wales competing at the event which emphasises the importance of team competition and fair play, whilst encouraging athletes to try their hardest and really enjoy the 'taking part'.

Despite an ACL injury, Annabelle competed strongly in the Shot Put and Bethany won a Silver Medal in the 4 x 1 Obstacle Race.  Team Berkshire finished the day placed third overall.

"It was great fun to take part in this event" Bethany said "We had a really good time".
