Charters School has always had a wonderful sporting pedigree and this was evident for all to see on Monday when four of our teams were victorious against other schools and the fifth narrowly lost in the quarter final of the County Cup.

Starting with our youngest students, the Year 7 boys football team won their County Cup 2nd round match against Cox Green 3-1, while the Year 7 girls won both their football matches; against Piggot 2-1 and Bohunt 3-0.

Our Year 8 boys won their football match against Ranelagh 5-0.

And to bring the winning day to a crescendo, our U16 girls are now County Champions in handball after winning their semi final and final in the County Competition! The girls came together and won their semi final against The Holt 11-0 and then went on to beat a formidable Maiden Erlegh side 5-0 in the final!!!!!!  There were fantastic performances all round; Sydney was voted 'Player of the Final' and Rosa was an unbelievable keeper keeping a clean sheet in both the semi and final.

They also finished 1st in their division winning 11-2 against LVS and 12-6 against The Marist to progress to the finals which we hosted.

Results Day 2022 (76)

Sadly, our U18 boys football team lost their County Cup quarter final to Piggot on penalties. It was a tough game and the opposition narrowly won in the penalty shoot out.

Our congratulations to all the students who took part in these matches. Giving students the opportunity to take part in extra-curricular clubs is something we are passionate about. The clubs are a wonderful way for students to enhance their personal development and most importantly to enjoy themselves and make a wider circle of friends.
