National Apprenticeships Week 2023
As part of National Apprenticeships Week 2023 students across the entire school have been learning that apprenticeships are a great work-based qualification and are available across a wide range of industries.
Tutors were able to show their tutees a number of inspirational videos which highlight where an apprenticeship could lead. They featured apprentices who are working at companies ranging from the BBC to Coca-Cola and these can be viewed below:
Students in Years 8 and 10 welcomed Emma Raymond from Windsor Forest Colleges Group, who spoke with them about post-16 options and the array of apprenticeship levels which were available at their colleges. They were told that apprentices earnt a salary as they completed their qualification and that a mix of work-based experience and classroom knowledge allows apprentices to gain both practical on the job skills and become qualified for a career.
Apprenticeships are an option for students of all abilities and there are a range of apprenticeship levels from Intermediate to Degree level.
