Supporting Local Schools
We are proud of the fact that Charters School is part of the wider community, and this week Miss Follett was invited to speak with students at Ascot Heath Primary School as part of their 'Space Day'.
The students were encouraged to dress as astronauts and took part in various activities throughout the day which related to space. The students had asked for a ‘real life’ scientist to come and deliver a talk on space, and Miss Follett was only too happy to oblige.
She spoke to the students about planets and how the Earth spinning on its axis causes us to have day and night, and why this is different in different countries. She also spoke about being an astronaut and living in space.
It is wonderful for our teachers to be able to share their expert knowledge with students in the local Primary schools, who after all are our future students.
