Globe Theatre Trip

Review of the trip by Year 13 student Ava.

On Thursday 20^th October, our year 13 English Literature class (and Waddleton, of course!) went to see The Tempest at the Globe Theatre in London.  

Watching the play on stage for the first time, we all really enjoyed seeing the magic and the humour come to life.  

The highlight probably wasn't getting soaking wet and standing in the pouring rain for a good half hour, but at least we got the full immersive experience of a literal tempest.

Whilst we didn't appreciate the characters' quip about their clothes being nice and dry, we didn't let the rain stop us from enjoying ourselves and laughing at Prospero in his rather tight speedos or Trinculo and Caliban taking shelter together underneath an inflatable lobster!
