Ascot Art Competition Winners
Since 2018, Ascot Racecourse has organised an annual art competition for local schools. The winning designs are enlarged and the posters are displayed in the Ascot Heath Tunnel, creating a colourful walkway for both Royal Ascot visitors and local residents.
This year we are proud to announce that Charters' students have won the 11, 12 and 13/14 age categories and were runners-up in the 11 age category and highly commended in the 12 age category.
Leading flat jockey, Ryan Moore, was asked to pick his favourite piece of artwork, which was this fantastic image of Her Majesty The Queen by Year 7 student Sian.
Age 12 Winner - Sian Bell
The winning entries each won cash prizes of £1,000 for the Art department at Charters, and the students will receive Amazon vouchers to spend on themselves. They have been invited to a celebratory tea at the Victoria Cup Raceday on Saturday, 7 May, where they will be presented with their prizes.
Very well done to all those who took part in the competition and congratulations to the winners. We would also like to mention the hard work of Miss Wootten for encouraging the students to take part in the competition and for co-ordinating the school's entries.

Age 13/14 Winner - Lottie Furst
Age 11 Runner-Up - William Furst
