Ukraine Mufti Day
On Monday 28 March we held a mufti day to raise money for the victims affected by the war in Ukraine and raised a staggering £1591. All monies collected will be paid to the Disaster Emergency Committee DEC. We asked students to wear blue and yellow on the day to show support for the millions of people whose lives have been turned upside down by the war and are being persecuted by President Putin.
There was a sea of blue and yellow around the entire school site and it was wonderful to see our staff and students supporting this initiative.
On Tuesday, students from Year 7 arranged a charity Bake Sale from the bandstand at second break. Cupcakes, cookies and brownies were on offer for staff and students to purchase and their efforts raised an additional £249.05 for the people of Ukraine. We are very proud of their efforts and the kindness they have shown in organising this event.
Thank you to everyone who contributed funds to this important cause.
