HIGHLIGHTS
The school's different athletics teams have competed very well this week, with three County Champions being crowned in their age groups: Marli Year10 80 metre hurdles, Amber Year 12 400metres and Josh Year11 1500m Steeple Chase. Josh has also qualified for the English Schools National Finals in his event. Our Intermediate Boys and Girls teams, as well as the Junior Girls' teams, won their respective combined competitions at the RBWM finals this week. An extremely successful week for all the competitors. Well done all.
ATTENDANCE
We have communicated before that there are significant changes to government policy around attendance starting in September. We appreciate that families plan holidays early and urge you to check our term dates on the school website LINK HERE before booking any holiday. The school will not authorise any holiday booked during the term, this is in line with government guidance.
Recognising that regular and consistent attendance in school is important to success is all-important. If any student has regular school days for medical reasons, we will ask for medical evidence to support this. This could be a letter from your GP or a consultant. If we do have such evidence after a meeting with the school, such absences will be treated as unauthorised.
We want to work with all families to ensure that attendance for your sons and daughters is as high as it can be, and we will work with you to remove any barriers to good attendance.
