Chief Scout's Gold Award

Three of our Year 9 students Jai, Lottie and Necia were all presented with the Chief Scout's Gold Award last week. The award was presented by David Hawkins, Assistant Chief Commissioner for Surrey Scouts. The Gold Award is the highest a Scout can get and is only achieved when participants have obtained nine challenge badges (including Expedition, Teamwork, Team Leader and Creative Challenges) and six other activity badges. As you can imagine this has meant a lot of hard work for all three of them!

Jai, Lottie and Necia are all now Young Leaders for 1st Bagshot Scout Group and they are working towards their DofE Bronze award.

Jai has also been selected to go to the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea next Summer and has started fundraising to pay for the trip.

A huge well done to these inspiring students who should be extremely proud of their achievements.  It has been,and will continue to be, a busy term for them!
