This week, ten students from the Learning Support Centre (LSC) were rewarded for their dedication, kindness, and positive attitude with a special trip to Bear Mountain Adventure Golf, and a delicious meal at the on-site restaurant.

Accompanied by Mrs Welham and Mrs Dean, the students were selected for consistently demonstrating commitment to their learning, kindness and a willingness to help both staff and their peers in the LSC.

Despite a few challenges - like the wind making it difficult to control the ball and the occasional golf ball landing in the water - the group remained positive and never gave up. Their encouragement of one another, good humour, and excellent behaviour made the day a true celebration of Unity, Respect, and Excellence.

The students navigated the mini-golf course with enthusiasm and determination, cheering each other on every step of the way. They were excellent ambassadors for our school and their behaviour showed how the school’s values reach way beyond the classroom.

After the golf, the group enjoyed some well-earned pizza, which was described by students as simply “delicious.”

When asked about the experience, Izzy said, "It was incredible and fun! We had pizza first, then we went to mini golf and I got a hole in one. The scores were incredibly close. We represented our school by cheering our teammates on and giving them tips. It was an amazing day."

Other students described the trip as “fun,” “an adventure,” and “amazing.” And with the weather on their side, it was truly a memorable outing for all involved.

Our thanks to Mrs Dean and Mrs Welham for organsing the trip and very well done to all of the students who took part; you represented Charters School wonderfully and thoroughly deserved this special treat.
